Your septic system is continually operating and should be serviced by a professional every two years, depending on it’s capacity and usage. At Mike Moores Plumbing and Septic, we believe our septic pumping and maintenance service is the best in the business and will keep your septic system in good working condition.
Sewage backup is a sign that your septic system needs to be serviced. You may notice slow drains, pooling water and foul orders.Waste water should stay underground and out of sight. The first sign that your septic system needs to be pumped is pooling water. Look to the lawn in and around the drain field and if you see pooling water, it’s an indication that your tank is full.
If you smell sewage, it can indicate your septic tank is full. The tank/system contains all the water that goes down a drain including the kitchen sink, dishwasher, bathroom sinks, laundry room, and especially the toilet. Sewage backing up into a sink, a bathtub or a toilet is not what you want, and a full septic tank will cause that to happen.
